Standard Term And Condition

The St. John Talent Search Examination is a Multiple Choice Objective Examination that evaluates the Candidates on the parameters of Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, General Knowledge and English.

The Talent Search Exam is by no means a replacement for statutory exams such as CET, JEE, NEET or other Government conducted Exams. Appearing and obtaining a score in the SJTSE by no means guarantees admissions to Courses in the St. John Technical and Education Campus or other Institutions. The Score obtained by the Candidate in the SJTSE will be useful in securing Scholarships while pursuing education at the St. John Technical and Education Campus.

A. Conduct of Examination / Examination Format

1. Format of Examination - 4 sections, 25 questions, 25 marks each
2. Time duration of Exam - 90 minutes
3. Mode of Conduct - Online (Moodle / LAN Based) in St. John Campus
4. Marking Guide - 1 mark for correct answer, no marks for wrong answer, no negative marking
5. Students are required to carry the following items to the Exam Centre:

• Hall Ticket
• ID Card
• Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card / Voter ID / Driving License / PAN Card)

6. Students are allowed to carry the following items into the Exam Centre:

• Pen / Pencil
• Hall Ticket
• Transparent / Clear Water Bottle

7. Strictly Prohibited:

• Mobile Phones, Smart watches, Pen Drives, any electronic devices
• Calculators
• Scarves, Jackets, Goggles, Headgear
• Paper Sheets, Reference Books, Writing Pad
• Eatables or Food of any Kind
• Pouches, Wallets etc

8. Any candidate found to be copying / using unfair means during the Examination will be removed from the Exam Centre and his/her Exam will be deemed invalid.

B. Scholarships and Prizes

1. The Scholarship Amount of Rs. 1 crore is a cumulative figure and may vary depending on multiple factors as decided by the appropriate Authority.

• The Scholarship will be disbursed as a Deduction in the Tuition Fees to be paid for a Specific Course.
• The Scholarship Amount is directly dependent on the Marks/Percentile scored by the Candidate in the exam.
• The last date to avail the Scholarship will be notified closer to the Admission Schedules of the respective Programs.
• The Scholarship Amount can not be exchanged in lieu of monetary compensation or be combined with Government Scholarships that the Candidates may already be eligible for.
• The Scholarship will be valid on specific courses as per the discretion of the Management and may change from time to time.

2. The Gift Items / Prizes advertised may not match the images provided and depend upon availability of items or stock. The Gift Items advertised will only be awarded on completion of admission in specific courses as mentioned below

• i)Laptop - MMS
  ii)Tablet - Engineering / Hotel Management / Pharmacy
  iii)Smart Watch - B.Sc (IT), B.Sc (CS), Diploma (Engg), Diploma (Pharmacy)
  iv)Earbuds - B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., B.F.M., B.A.F., B.B.I., Junior College (HSC Arts), Junior College (CBSE Both Streams)
• The Gift Items / Prizes cannot be exchanged in lieu of monetary benefits/compensation.

3. The Management and Exam Conducting Agency reserve all rights to modify the Exam, its Formats, Scholarships, Prizes, Dates and other allied factors depending on Factors within their Control along with Unforeseen circumstances etc.
